East Gippsland’s produce, top restaurants and chef’s skills set the bar incredibly high at Monday night’s Spring Table event at the Lindenow Hall.
The foodie-heaven initiative was a collaboration between East Gippsland Marketing, the East Gippsland Food Cluster (EGFC) and Destination Gippsland, and was enjoyed by 140 guests.
It was a feast fit for royalty that began with canapés followed by a five-course degustation menu, with each dish featuring local ingredients like Leadoux Turkey pate; Forge Creek eggs; Bonaccord cauliflower and Lakes Entrance sardines.
Each meal was carefully paired with a specific beer and wine from local breweries and wineries by EGFC chair, Damien Gannon.
There are already three similar events planned for 2019 at Omeo, Bruthen and Mallacoota.
