Coen Buck-Roberts loves fishing so much and wants every kid to give it a go too, so he has organised a junior fishing competition for Easter Saturday.
Coen is 10 years old and has been busy canvassing the town and now has 34 prizes for the children to win.
The entry fee is five dollars, but Coen said if anyone cannot afford that, arrangements can be made. All profits will be donated to Lakes Entrance Neighbourhood House for its Foodbank.
The competition is open to ages 17 and under with registration via Evenbrite. Check in is at 7am and parents must accompany their children to sign a waiver form. The competition starts at 8am with first prize being the most fish caught.
Coen and his mum Clara encourage all to get down to Gippsland Lakes Angling Club No. 1 Bullock Island on April 19 and have some fun.
