Bairnsdale Netball Association (BNA) recently hosted its annual tournament at the WORLD precinct and despite the weather being less than friendly, the day was a huge success.
The event attracted teams and associations from throughout the region and the strong Diamond Creek Association.
The under 15s played in two divisions, the under 13s three sections, while the
emerging under 11s played a round robin with no finals.
In the open under 15 final, Diamond Creek came out on top of BNA Blue, while in the under 15 reserve final Diamond Creek proved to good for the Sale Football Netball Club.
In the under 13 open final Diamond Creek was too good for BNA Blue, in the under 13 reserve two Diamond Creek sides battled out the final.
In the under 13 red division BNA Red scored a great win over Sale Red, meaning the host association didn’t go home empty handed.
The BNA was delighted with the efforts of their teams in the first representative squad tournament for 2025.
Both under 11 sides impressed, the Blue side suffering just one loss, while the Red side looked good winning three matches.
The under 13 White side was unlucky to miss finals by percentage, while the under 15 Red side bowed out in the semi finals.
