A Wy Yung resident says he is becoming frustrated with trying to convince the East Gippsland Shire that they need to take responsibility for a road reserve which abuts his property.
Steven Stagg acquired his parcel of land 18 months ago and has since built a home on his property overlooking Mount Taylor.
A large area of grassland, that sits between his property and another landholding, is owned by the shire which Mr Stagg says is road reserve leftover from the carve up of the subdivision that occurred in Davidson Drive more than two years ago.
“If I don’t keep on top of it, it becomes really thick and grows up the fence,” Mr Stagg said.
“If we didn’t cut it, you simply wouldn’t see the fence.”
