The next meeting of the Bairnsdale and District Diabetes Support Group will be on Tuesday, June 17, in the Lakes Room (please note change of room for this meeting) at the Bairnsdale RSL, at 1pm.
Guest speaker for the meeting will be Craig Ryan, sales and customer services officer with Latrobe Community Health Service.
Craig will speak on how to live at home longer – Home Care packages.
Health needs change as we age, but one thing stays the same and that’s our desire to remain living in our own home as long as possible. This informational session is designed for individuals aged 65 or older but is open to anyone interested in learning more.
The current federally funded “Home Care Packages” will be changing. As of July 1, to the new “Support at Home” program, we will provide an update to how this might impact on you and outline the pathway towards a support program. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions.
People with, or interest in, diabetes and aged care are most welcome to attend.
