A major new exhibition is set to launch as East Gippsland Art Gallery and Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation (GLaWAC) collaborate for the first time to present South East NOW 2025 – a vibrant celebration of Aboriginal art, culture and community.
Running from June 20 to August 2, the exhibition will be held across both venues and features work from 17 exceptional artists across the region. This exhibition brings together diverse creative voices and offers the public a chance to experience work that reflects both place and identity.
Artists featured include: Bradley Brown, Leann J Edwards, Dr Aunty Eileen Harrison, Ian Harrison, Derek Hayes Jnr, Alfie Hudson, Chris Mongta, Luke Mongta, Adrian Morgan, Jennifer Mullett, Shane O’Shanassy, Alice-Ann Pepper, Ronald Edwards-Pepper, Patricia Pittman, Alan Solomon, Colin Thomas and Ray Thomas.
South East NOW 2025 is an unmissable event for anyone interested in the arts, culture, and the stories of East Gippsland.
The Bush Café at GLaWAC is open Monday-Friday and will be open on Saturdays for the duration of the exhibition.
