Buchan continued its good recent form in Omeo and District netball with an impressive victory over fellow cellar dweller Swifts Creek during round 10 action at the Buchan Recreation Reserve.
Coming off a confidence-boasting win against Lindenow South last week, the Wilmas again showed significant improvement during their 46-21 victory.
Buchan is in fifth place, trailing the fourth-placed Swampies by just six points.
Ladder leader Omeo Benambra made short work of Lindenow South at the top of the hill, winning 46-21, while second-placed Swan Reach was too good for the third-ranked Bruthen, winning by 21 goals at home.
With now 10 points between second and third, Omeo Benambra and Swan Reach are assured of the second chance.
In this week’s matches, Swan Reach will host the resurgent Buchan, Omeo Benambra is at home to Swifts Creek, with Bruthen and Lindenow South clashing in the match of the round.
