Stratford and District Angling Club recently conducted a club event at Hollands Landing.
The weather gods were kind, apart from the mandatory winter morning frosts this time of the year.
Saturday night was the feature of the event, with 40 plus in attendance for a spit roast dinner.
On the water Michael Cummings was the senior winner with a huge 45-centimetre bream, while the junior winner was Paddy Cummings with a 39cm bream.
Heaviest other species was won by Ben Toseland for a magnificent perch, while Paul Mewha was victorious in the secret weight with an 890 gram catch.
Raffle winners were Ken Holland, James Russel, Daniel Field and Paul Mewha.
The club’s next fishing competition will be trout opening, September 12-14 against the Sale Angling Club at GBG camp.
