The Rotary Club of Bairnsdale Sunrise staged a glitzy Masquerade Gala Ball on the weekend of June 21.
It was a massive success with 130 people from the Bairnsdale region with guests travelling from as far as Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula enjoying a night they will always remember.
Club Eastwood hosted the event, utilising the grand ballroom decorated with all the glitz and glamour and providing a two-course meal sourced from local produce.
The dance floor was constantly full with The Jimmys belting out tunes all night.
Local wineries Lightfoot’s and Nicholson River generously donated wines to support the gala, along with various local businesses who donated raffle prizes for the night.
The gala was held as a fundraiser with all the profits (close to $10,000) going towards establishing the Eastwood Rotary Bike Education Track (to be built in Tulaba Park, Eastwood) adjacent to the Lucknow Primary School.
The Rotary Club of Bairnsdale Sunrise still needs to raise further funds for the Bike Education track. The committee will be selling pavers that you can engrave with your family name or local businesses can choose to display their logo in the pathway through the new bike track.
