Rotary Club of Bairnsdale Sunrise held its changeover dinner on Thursday, June 26 where outgoing president Clare Marriot-Smith introduced incoming president Glenda Blessie and her committee.
Three Paul Harris Fellowship Awards were granted. Recipients of these rewards include Sunrise Rotary member Sue Griffiths for her continued hard work and support within the club, followed by Uncle Alan Coe and Merryn Stevenson – executive members of Warrigunya, a Gippsland based accommodation service developed to support Aboriginal men released from custody.
The format of the changeover was relaxed with guests from the Rotary Club of Mitchell River and the Rotary Club of Lakes Entrance attending. The event was held at the Old Grain Store with specialised catering and a welcoming atmosphere.
