East Gippsland Zone of Pony Club’s Moe, Toongabbie, Stratford and Rosedale were all represented at the Ride to Time event held at the Moe Racecourse recently.
Five riders took part in the third event of the zone series which saw the guest appearance of Tayla Childs.
Representing Racing Victoria, Childs chatted with riders about prospective careers in the racing industry, life as a female jockey, her path into the racing industry and how pony club help to get her there.
The final two events in the zone series will be held at Moe (Saturday) and Bairnsdale (Sunday).
These events are qualifiers for not only State Championships but also the East Gippsland zone series.
