Sale Golf Club recently held a highly successful three-day annual tournament which was well-patronised on all days.
Friday’s 4BBB stableford kicked off the proceedings with 36 players teeing up.
Pam Pitman and Mary Jones were the best of the women with 42 points, finishing a shot ahead of Dawn Goodison and Helen Harrap.
There was a countback between three pairs in the men’s event with Lane McDonald and Ryan Hewett victorious from Ron Jackson/Peter Neville and Trevor Claffey/Richard Humphrey.
Saturday’s stableford event attracted 81 players with Luke Dowsett, who played in the first group out, the clubhouse leader for the entire day with his fantastic score of 42 points, winning “A” grade.
John Aitken was victorious in “B” grade with 38 points, while Jackson Lamin from Maffra took “C” grade with 39 points.
Sarah Bedggood took out the ladies’ event on countback from Karen Brown and Zoe Brown, all finishing with 32 points.
Bedggood continued her great form on Sunday, combining with Lochie McKeever to compile 40 points to win the mixed American stableford event from Gavin and Mia Ballinger.
Planning has already begun for next year’s event.
