Spring is set to burst into colour as the Bairnsdale and District Arts Society prepares to host its much-anticipated Spring Art Show.
The exhibition will transform St John’s Hall on Francis Street into a vibrant gallery showcasing the immense talent of Gippsland’s artistic community.
The show, running from October 10 to 12, is open to the public and will feature a diverse array of art genres, including watercolours, oils, pastels and more.
Visitors can expect to see a huge variety
of subjects, with all artworks being original pieces hand-painted or drawn by local
Gippsland artists.
All works on display will be for sale, offering a perfect opportunity for art lovers to purchase a unique, local creation.
The event will kick off with a gala opening night on Friday, October 10, at 6pm.
Local MP, Tim Bull will officially open the show.
The public is warmly invited to attend, meet the artists, and immerse themselves in the beautiful collection on display.
The opening night includes drinks and finger food for a small entry fee.
The exhibition continues throughout the weekend on Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12, from 10am.
Entry will be a gold coin donation, with all door entry fees directly supporting a worthwhile cause.
The proceeds will be donated to The Bairnsdale View Club, which raises vital funds for The Smith Family.
With a history spanning 45 years and a membership of approximately 150 artists, the Bairnsdale and District Arts Society stands as the leading community art group in East Gippsland, continually supporting local art and artists.
Local artists who wish to participate are encouraged to submit their work. This is a fantastic opportunity to exhibit in an ideal venue. Entries close on October 3.
