The crowd packed the Bairnsdale Aqautic and Recreation Centre (BARC) on Saturday night to see unbeaten local boxing talents Max Reeves and Blake Wells, with neither disappointing, victorious in devastating fashion.
Reeves ended Fijian Robin Hazelman’s night 93 seconds into the first round when a vicious body blow to the stomach sent his journeyman opponent to the canvas, where he riled in pain for three to four minutes.
Wells accounted for another Fijian, Silivini Nawai, the referee calling a stop to the fight 32 seconds into the fourth round after Nawai hit the canvas for the fourth and final time.
Both boxers are hopeful of signing contracts in the coming days to fight on the No Limit Boxing card in Sydney on November 23.
Max Reeves took less than two minutes to dispatch his opponent, Robin Hazleman, ending his fight with a punishing left hook to the body.
