East Gippsland can now boast its own gin distillery thanks to the forethought of a bright young couple.
Logan’s Micro Distillery is presently under construction in Tambo Upper but that hasn’t stopped Nastassia and Jordan Bennett from producing their gins, vodkas and liqueurs from temporary containers set up on their picturesque 20 acre property situated on the river.
Since relocating to the region from Geelong this year, the Bennetts’ haven’t looked back.
The idea to produce gin was originally Ms Bennett’s idea.
Having inherited “a love of making things from scratch” from her German mother, she started making gin in her old laundry in Geelong “as kind of a hobby” in 2018.
