The East Gippsland girls team was successful last weekend in the prestigious Judy Dalton Cup at the Sale Tennis Club.
The event is named after the former Australian professional tennis player who won nine major doubles titles, and completed the career grand slam in women’s doubles.
The East Gippsland 13 and under girls regional team, made up of players from the Wellington and East Gippsland shires, was the first East Gippsland team to win the Judy Dalton Cup since 2006, a time when none of the four girls who made up the 2022 team were even born.
