The Bairnsdale Show returned to its former glory last weekend with show committee president, Tarsha Dixon, saying “it was a very successful day”.
“A beautiful sunny day on Saturday saw the Bairnsdale Show teeming with people,” she said.
“It was so good to see the community come out and support the show, it has made the past 12 months of preparation from a small committee worth it.
“Half our committee have not had the experience of running a Bairnsdale Show and to see it all come together and see the committee members’ faces when people entered their exhibits, when stallholders and sponsors arrived and set up and then when people flooded through the gates – this was an extra pleasure for me.
“I would like to thank the committee for their constant support and hard work. I would also like to thank our sponsors that put their hands up and in their pockets to help sponsor the activities that happen throughout the day, I would like to thank the volunteers that help us on the day of the show to help make it happen, and I would like to thank everyone in the community that came out with their friends, family and children to enjoy a great family day out and support the Bairnsdale Show – because without all these people, the Show could not happen.”
