Fourteen Bairnsdale Secondary College students have every reason to celebrate, earning Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) exam scores above 80.
Nine students received a score in the 80s and six in the 90s.
Zac Gaskell was named Dux, with an impressive ATAR of 96.10, while the highest scoring female was Rebecca Stephens with a score of 95. Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) Dux was Bodey Carr, who also received the Clontarf Champion award.
The college’s senior school team is thrilled with the result, this year’s group being the highest number of students to score more than 80 in the past decade.
“We can’t stop smiling – and crying,” one teacher said.
“We are super proud – it’s a day to celebrate, a massive day to celebrate,” executive principal, Trudie Nagle, said.
