Paynesville is getting into the festive spirit.
The Paynesville Business and Tourism Association has launched a cheerful new initiative to brighten up the town’s streetscape this Christmas season.
Thanks to generous material donations and the skillful handiwork of the Paynesville Men’s Shed, the first handmade Christmas trees are now taking shape.
Once painted and decorated, these festive creations will proudly welcome visitors at the entrance to Paynesville — spreading holiday cheer to locals and tourists alike.
The association held its annual general meeting on Monday at the Gippsland Lakes Yacht Club.
PBTA now has community organisation and individual memberships as well as business levels.
The committee is always keen to hear from new members who are passionate about supporting the local community and helping Paynesville’s businesses and tourism thrive.
