Despite some wild weather keeping people at home, the All Abilities Day at the Bairnsdale Squash and Table Tennis Centre last week was full of energy, laughter and community spirit.
The event brings fun and friendship to the organisations Lucknow headquarters, as participants try their hand at a wide range of games, including table tennis, racquetball, carpet bowls, bean bag throwing, and skittles.
The music kept spirits high throughout the day, with karaoke proving to be one of the biggest hits, so popular, in fact, that organisers almost ran out of microphones.
A special highlight was the visit from the local eSports group, who showcased some of the exciting gaming equipment and activities available at their own centre.
The demonstrations drew plenty of interest and added a modern twist to the day’s entertainment.
Organisers extended a warm thank-you to all the wonderful helpers and the East Gippsland Shire Council for their ongoing support in helping make the event possible.
While numbers were a little lower than hoped due to the weather, everyone who attended agreed it was a fantastic day celebrating inclusion, participation, and fun for all abilities.
