It’s been well over a year since Annie Paterson, of Nullamunjie Olive Grove, at Bindi, took possession of Tongio Station, which adjoins her 610 acre olive farm.
The sale of Tongio Station, a sprawling 790 acre property, attracted plenty of local attention when it was offered for sale at auction in November 2021.
Containing the original 1900s homestead, it was the first time the property had been marketed in more than 60 years.
Nestled on two-and-a-half kilometres of Tambo River frontage, the property contains about 100 acres of river flat country and was considered a viable investment.
Ms Paterson, who at first wasn’t intending to buy the property, consulted her husband, John, a Melbourne-based company chairman, who suggested it would be well worth snapping up.
“I didn’t think my husband would be interested but he was,” she told Primary Producer last week.
