Bairnsdale motorsport fans are in for a huge night this Saturday at Bairnsdale Speedway, with more than 80 drivers set to compete across multiple classes.
Forty-seven entrants have nominated in the sports sedan series alone, promising non-stop action from 4.30pm.
The program also features the top three finishers from the recent Victorian title for limited sportsman competing in the prestigious King of the Rock, a strong field for the ladies’ standard saloon series, and keen racers in the division two hot rods and open standard saloons.
Sports sedan fans will see Damien and Brendan Miller, Shane Simpson, Tommy McDonald, Shane O’Brien, Ian Thomsen, Jay Nicolaisen, Mick Mannix, Harry Cecil, Dale Smith, Dave Donegan, Josh Service, and other potential surprise winners battle for supremacy.
King of the Rock competitors include new Victorian champion Craig Ansell, Bairnsdale’s Mal Siely and Darren Adams, along with local talent Daniel Hurley, Jayden White, Sean Axnick, Chris Woeltjes, Tannah Lee, and Katelyn Worthy from Hamilton.
Beau Stuchbery aims for a fifth straight division two hot rod victory, facing Keven Stoopman, Trent Wilson, Josh Thomas, Troy Wilson, Troy Cormack, Craig Cormack, Andrew Cormack, Kyson Liversidge, and Kate Stuchbery.
In the ladies’ standard saloon series, Bree Walker, Ella Sheedy, Caroline Allen, two-time Victorian champion Ally Morrison, and Bairnsdale’s Sisi Burgess, Kate Stuchbery, Michelle George, Breanna Lee, and Sharni Stuchbery are all competing.
Open standard saloons will feature Jack Braz, Gus Argoon, Bairnsdale’s Kieran Mills and Jack Wharton, Blake Smith, Mitchell Ling, and Brendan Sheedy.
Spectator entry opens at 12pm, with racing starting from 4.30pm.
