The Bairnsdale Clay Target Club held its March DTL shoot recently, with the program consisting of a 25-pair double rise and a 50-point score event.
The competition attracted 42 eager competitors on a cloudy day, with a wide range of shoot-offs keeping the action exciting.
The double rise event kicked off the day, producing some excellent scores. The overall and “AA” winner was Chris Davis with an impressive 47/50. Other winners included Frank Bagnato (“A” grade), Jamie Davies (“B” grade), Nick Moon (“C” grade), and Kate Perry (juniors).
Next up was the point score event, marking the first competition on the club’s new layout. The overall and “A” grade winner was Leonard Quirk, scoring a sensational 146/150. Other victors were Bagnato (“AA” grade), Nick O’Kelly (“B” grade and juniors), and Moon (“C” grade).
