The iconic Dargo Hotel is close to being transferred to a group of investors after equity crowd funding for the pub proved successful.
Director of the Dargo Hotel Owners Group, Trent Hadfield, told the Advertiser “we are very close to having the whole deal signed, sealed and delivered”.
Mr Hadfield said the pub’s new manager, Steve Ayton, was expected to move up to Dargo this week to prepare for taking over the reins in the coming weeks.
“We reached our target of $2.25 million in investor bids with 350 people involved,” he said.
Those investors, which includes locals and others from all over Australia, will each have a piece of the pub.
