The Bairnsdale Netball Association hosted a very successful tournament last Sunday.
Thirty-four teams took to the courts at the WORLD precinct across three grades, 11 and under, 13 and under, and 15 and under.
Teams participated in round robin matches, prior to finals matches.
The weather was ideal, which saw a big crowd cheering on the matches, with the players showing great sportsmanship, despite the fierce competition.
Grand final winners were Sale Black (13 and under open), Traralgon White (13 and under reserve), Moe and District (15 and under open) and Bairnsdale Red (15 and under reserve).
The 11 and under section doesn’t have finals, but nine sides participated in a hotly contested round robin of fixtures.
As well as winning one grand final, the hosts were also runner-up in another section, with Bairnsdale Blue playing off for the 15 and under title.
