With his wife Valerie, Max Curtis, as president of the Bairnsdale Country Music Club, has been involved in organising the Bairnsdale Good
Friday Fundraiser for The
Royal Children’s Hospital in Parkville, Melbourne, for more than 25 years.
The Good Friday Fundraiser for 2026 will be staged at the RSL and the concert will start at 8pm on Friday, April 3.
The RSL will open for meals at 5pm so that concert goers can have a meal before settling in for a great evening of music.
Similarly to previous years the Good Friday Appeal will include raffles, a Lucky Door Prize and a telephone fundraiser. All profits will go directly to The Royal Children’s Hospital.
Jamie Curtis, as the principal singer for local country music band The Longhorns, will provide a program of golden oldies as well as more recent numbers influenced by
country music.
