Book lovers and bargain hunters across the region are encouraged to clear some space on their shelves as the Friends of Paynesville Library Inc. prepare to host their massive Autumn Book Sale this month.
Transforming the Paynesville Community Centre into what organisers describe as an “Aladdin’s Cave of Literature,” the event, which will run from April 10-12, will feature a staggering collection of more than 10,000 books.
Spanning every genre imaginable, from thrillers and biographies to children’s classics and reference materials, the sale has become a cornerstone event for the local community.
The sale is famous for its affordability, with a maximum price of just $2.00 per book.
Organisers have also confirmed that further discounts will be available for those looking to make bulk purchases, making it a not to be missed opportunity for avid readers.
A very special addition to this year’s inventory is a unique locally produced book titled What’s In My Lunch Box.
Created by the children of the Paynesville Day Care Centre, the book offers a charming and creative insight into what local youngsters think about their daily “play lunch.”
Available for $5.00, the children’s book is described as a delightful read for both the young and the young at heart.
