Australian music icon Ross Wilson will bring his landmark 50 Years of Hits tour to The Forge Theatre this month, as part of what has become the biggest tour of his long-running career.
The veteran performer will take to the Bairnsdale stage on Sunday, April 12, with his band The Peaceniks, delivering a catalogue that spans more than five decades of Australian music.
The tour has been extended into 2026 due to overwhelming demand, surpassing 200 shows nationwide and highlighting Wilson’s enduring popularity across generations.
With a career stretching back to the 1960s, Wilson first found success in Melbourne with The Pink Finks before rising to national fame with Daddy Cool and later Mondo Rock.
His work includes some of Australia’s
most recognisable songs, including the chart-topping anthem Eagle Rock and a string of 1980s hits such as Cool World, State of the Heart and Come Said The Boy.
Across his career as a singer, songwriter and producer, Wilson has recorded 26 ARIA Top 40 hits and earned widespread recognition, including two inductions into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
The Bairnsdale performance will feature a mix of classic hits and more recent material, offering local audiences a rare chance to see one of Australia’s most influential artists perform live.
Following the East Gippsland show, the tour continues across Victoria, New South Wales and beyond, with stops scheduled in Echuca, Swan Hill and Shepparton later in the year.
Tickets for the Bairnsdale show are expected to be in high demand as the tour continues to draw strong crowds across the country.
