The small but lively town of Ensay recently celebrated the grand opening of its new and improved recreation reserve building, funded through the Federal Government’s Community Development Grant Program.
This new multipurpose facility will bring more to the town of Ensay, with this building holding amazing new facilities including laundry, shower/bathroom amenities and kitchen facilities.
Throughout this project the angling club also had an upgrade to improve usability for community functions.
The upgrades include:
– Electrical and lighting
– New floodlights and associated and electrical work throughout the reserve
– New multi-purpose playing surface
– A modern surface suitable for netball, tennis and addition community sports
This project engaged with numerous local contractors from Ensay and surrounding districts.
The project was completed in late 2025 and is now open to the public.
The project was managed by the Ensay Recreation Reserve Committee of Management, with Kathy Morgan as project director.
