Orbost Snowy Rovers and Wy Yung are the premiers of East Gippsland junior football.
The Blues secured a thrilling under 15 premiership, beating the minor premier Tigers by two points after setting up victory with a six-goal to one first quarter at Bairnsdale City Oval last Sunday.
Meanwhile the under 13 Wy Yung side was too strong for a gallant Lakes Entrance, winning by 21 points.
The large and responsive crowd, revelling in the idyllic spring weather, were entertained by three under 11 exhibition games before the under 13s took to the ground for the first of the grand finals.
Wy Yung, coached by Bryan Froud, went into the match as warm favourites, but they were expecting strong opposition from the James Gibbs coached Lakes Entrance.
