Steam Rail Victoria chugged into Bairnsdale Railway Station over the weekend, with two steam engines hauling vintage carriages dating back to 1908.
The two steam trains were built in 1952 and 1915 respectively.
Carriages were made up of a sleeper car, first and second class carriages and a buffet car, all in tip-top condition considering their age.
The traffic stopping spectacle travelled from Melbourne to Sale on Friday and ran one-hour train shuttles from Sale on Saturday.
On Sunday morning the steam train arrived at Bairnsdale station and then ran four one-hour services to Lindenow South and return.
The smoking engines stopped hundreds of people as it puffed and the whistle blew its way in and out of Bairnsdale station.
