The Bairnsdale and District Model Aero Club (BADMAC) conducted a successful Warbirds display last weekend at its Goon Nure airfield.
Pilots from New South Wales joined local enthusiasts from Bairnsdale and Sale and visitors from Melbourne in an outstanding display of model military aircraft.
BADMAC secretary, Tony Wilson, was delighted with the turnout for the event.
“It’s great to see so many pilots here for the two days, everyone loves a Warbird,” Wilson said.
It’s the second year BADMAC have run the event which they hope will become a regular on the flying community calendar.
All pilots where given the opportunity to vote in the pilot’s choice awards, peers deciding what were the best presented aircraft in each category.
