A two-day workshop to help women with their farming business financials has the makings of a perfect getaway – learning new information at a beach location, all in the company of good people.
The workshop is headed by Countryside Business Partners’ Chris Jehu, formerly of the Rural Financial Counselling Service.
“The aim is to help people to understand where their business is at, identify where they want to go, and also exactly what that looks like,” Chris said.
“Some people might want to grow their business, some might want to simply maintain it, and others might like to find more time to holiday.
“It’s about making the business fit your life goals.”
Co-organiser, Far East Victorian Landcare’s Emma Orgill, said the event was a great opportunity.
“It won’t be easy,” she warned.
“It will be a bit of work because participants need to bring some of their information with them.
“We’re aiming to have about 15 women together and support them to take a deep dive into their farm businesses to fully understand their current position and develop a plan for moving forward.”
