Adam Scanlan led the field home in last Saturday’s Lakes Entrance parkrun in gloomy conditions.
With the weather threatening, only 25 participants took to the five-kilometre course for the walk, jog or run.
Scanlan led the field home in 22 minutes and seven seconds, with the first woman home local Peta Bassett in 26 minutes and 22 seconds.
Bassett finished just ahead of friend, Sheree Midson, who ran a personal best time of 26 minutes and 36 seconds.
It was the 84th time Bassett has completed the course.
There have been 264 editions of the Lakes Entrance parkrun, with the fastest time ever recorded still being Eric Ueda’s effort on News Years Eve in 2022. Ueda ran a staggering 16 minutes and six seconds.
