Lindenow Football Netball Club recently participated in the annual Salvation Army Christmas Appeal for the 12th consecutive year.
The Cats pride themselves on getting involved in the community, helping and assisting those less fortunate.
Each year the club hosts a Christmas barbecue, combining both football and netballers, asking the club and community members to donate a small gift to charity.
All gifts were put under the Salvation Army “Wishing Tree” located at the new K Mart store in Bairnsdale.
Club president, Dom Galati, was delighted with the continued support of club members and the community.
“The toy drive is a club tradition, which gets bigger and bigger every year, we are again humbled by our members efforts,” Galati said.
Russell Butcher from the Salvation Army said the goods would be put to good use in the local community, making a Christmas a joyous occasion for so many more youngsters.
