In December last year, Jan Pianta School of Dance (JPSD) farewelled 15-year-old dancer, Chloe Moulton, who has now commenced full time dance training at Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS).
In recognition of all the achievements Chloe received while attending JPSD, training in classical ballet training, jazz and contemporary and more, travelling from Heyfield three days a week for eight classes a week to do so, she with excitement and grace, accepted the Australia Day Award given by Heyfield Newspapers.
Chloe won many classical ballet, jazz and contemporary championship at local and Melbourne dance competitions, she is a scholarship holder of State Youth Ballet Company and Lion Heart Youth Dance Company and runner-up dancer for Grand Prix of Classical Dance in Melbourne and Sydney.
In early January, Chloe attended a week-long summer school hosted by Cecchetti Ballet Victoria, where many enthusiastic young dancers from all around Australia took a variety of classes with specialist teachers from Australian Ballet, such as Adam Bull.
At the completion of the summer school Chloe was awarded another scholarship, one of only two given to attend the summer school in 2025.
In acknowledgement of her outstanding achievements while training at JPSD, Chloe thanked principal artistic director/teacher, Jan Pianta, along with the other teaching staff at JPSD, for all that was provided to her over the past six years.
Chloe is truly an outstanding role model and encourager to the other young dancers at JPSD and said: “follow your dreams to keep them alive, and do what needs to be done to achieve them”.
