The Bairnsdale Volleyball Community Challenge began last Thursday night with six teams taking to the courts.
The mini season which only runs for three weeks is based on the idea of participation, fun and having a laugh.
With the teams from last year’s grand final being unable to enter a team, the competition is wide open for a team to take the coveted first place award.
All the teams competing in this season’s competition contain a mix of new players alongside regular participants in the normal Thursday night competition, making all the games competitive.
This year’s competition contains Nagle College, Extras, Fortnite, Chicken Wings, Hit “n” Miss and Team Six.
The second week of the community challenge continues again tomorrow night with training beginning at 5.30pm for any interested person and the games starting at 6.20pm.
Bairnsdale Volleyball Association’s autumn season begins on the February 29,
with team entries as well as individual player entries now open.
