Evergreen Natural Health, based in Bairnsdale, is approaching three years of business in the town.
Doctors of Chinese medicine, Bruce Stafford and Sonya Rosenbrock, have carried out more than 7000 appointments to help the local community.
Dr Bruce and Dr Sonya can help patients with pain, digestive issues, weight loss, cosmetic acupuncture, menopausal symptoms, fatigue, stress and anxiety, fertility support, depression and general health.
In fact, they often help people with complex and difficult to treat conditions.
They are often a last resort for people who have already tried everything else.
“Our primary focus is to identify the root cause of problems and to use natural medicine to return the body back to normal function,” Dr Bruce said.
“When we do this, the body can start to work properly again to begin correcting problems.
“The human body is a marvellous machine, but sometimes it gets so out of whack that it cannot function properly and it needs some specific help to get back to doing the job it was designed to do – and that’s keeping you pain-free and healthy.”
Evergreen Natural Health also runs a number of programs to help their patients and the community improve their own
health.
These programs include the energy breathing program (where you learn how to breathe properly again), self-healing qigong (specific movements that are akin to giving yourself acupuncture, but without the needles) and the symmetry in motion program (where you can learn to diagnose the cause of your pain and fix it yourself through very specific movements).
Dr Bruce is an expert in Chinese Pulse diagnosis.
By reading the subtleties of blood flow through your radial artery on your wrist, he can tell you a lot about your health, how well your organs are functioning and the probable root cause of health problems.
Bruce teaches other practitioners how to read pulses and has developed an entire program for the allied health profession.
Dr Sonya is an expert in Chinese face diagnosis.
By examining the wrinkles, lines, marks and complexion of your face, Sonya can tell you why they are there and what they mean.
Chinese medicine is a very old form of medicine used daily by millions around the world.
In China, it is a primary form of medicine used alongside Western medicine in hospitals.
“I often say to patients, there is only one person responsible for your health, and that’s you,” Dr Bruce said.
“You need to choose the
treatments that work best for you. The best of health often involves the use of both natural medicine and Western medicine.”
