The East Gippsland Photographic Society would like to invite you to come along to their meeting to see if their club is of interest to you.
The society meets the fourth Wednesday of the month except December at the Bairnsdale community Hub off the Service street carpark.
Arrive at 7pm to sign in and have a chat before the meeting starts at 7.30pm. Meetings usually run for about three hours.
Today, March 27, the society has a guest speaker on zoom speaking on ‘Life unseen macro’, Nick Monaghan.
The club had a marquee at the Paynesville Classic Boat rally over the Labour Day weekend and had a lot of people stop by and view their nautical images and chat about the camera club.
Hopefully some of them will come along and join.
The society has been invited to have another photography display at Nyerimilang Heritage park on Sunday, April 7.
The following month they have the judging of their bi-monthly competition, ‘Taken in Gippsland’.
They are also having a weekend away to Venus Bay from April 19 to 22, photographing along the coast.
In May the society has a day trip to Broughton Gardens at Jindivick and a guest speaker on May 22, Adam Edwards, from the Broken Hill area speaking on his outback photography.
At the moment fees have been reduced for the next few months when they are due again at the annual general meeting in July.
