Bairnsdale Art Society artists are preparing for a huge sale of their artworks to be held in a ‘unique’ venue in the former Mazda dealership showrooms (554 Main Street), opposite Bunnings, from April 20 to 28.
This has come about due to the fantastic generosity of Ray Stephenson, the owner of the building, who has offered to loan the society his building for the event.
“We were attracted to the building because of it’s great location and expanse of windows to ‘show-off’ the original artworks, all painted by local artists,” art society president, Gael Rand, said.
“The site also has easy access with lots of parking spaces and we are really excited to hold this exhibition and sale for the enjoyment of the public.
“The arts society currently has 160 local artist members with an incredible depth of artistic talent. This is an ideal opportunity for the public to enjoy the art displayed and perhaps purchase an original piece at a great price too.”
The pop-up art sale will open on Saturday, April 20, at 10am and will run until Sunday, April 28, at noon.
“Don’t miss the chance to purchase and enjoy local artworks at our autumn pop-up art sale,” Gael said.
