The ANZAC Weekend Air Show at West Sale Airport last weekend was as popular as ever according to Nicholas Heath, managing director of Pace Media, the company that works closely with the Wellington Shire to make the air show a resounding success.
The two-day event is held every two years.
The event had something of interest for all members of the family from live music to model jet planes to the popular locally-based RAAF Roulette Air training
squad.
The Swiss aeronautical company Pilatus that supply the RAAF with their training planes also had a number of their commercial domestic planes on static display over the weekend.
Event sponsor Esso had one of its rig servicing helicopters parked on the service area for all local air show enthusiasts to have a close look at.
Without a doubt the most spectacular and outstanding air display were the frequent aerobatic flying displays by Paul Bennet and his acrobatic flying team.
Paul Bennet himself is a calculated and what appeared to be a spectacular risk taker demonstrating his professionally tuned skills in the air to the delight of the crowds on the ground.
