Local employment agency, APM Bairnsdale and Your Own Way have recently partnered with Return-It, which is a State Government can collection program.
APM and Your Own Way have been working hard behind the scenes to set up a program that will help participants from Your Own Way gain and maintain employment.
The Paynesville Football Club/Paynesville Cricket Club have offered to be the first depot where the community can turn their cans into cash.
Work is currently underway to set up two more sites in the Bairnsdale and surrounding areas to give more of an opportunities to NDIS participants who may find it hard to gain employment in the mainstream employment system.
Participants will be learning crucial skills such as computer skills, mathematic and written skills and all business related skills.
Participants will also be processing refunds to the public once they have deposited the cans for processing.
Your Own Way Is a large NDIS provider that has offices in Bairnsdale and the Latrobe Vally.
Your On Way works closely with NDIS participants helping them fulfil day to day chores and activities.
