Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester says it’s terrific to see the progression of works at the Bruthen Recreation Reserve as part of major upgrades.
“Bruthen Recreation Reserve received $1.07 million in federal funding for upgrades, which includes improvements to current facilities and the addition of new amenities to increase accessibility and promote the development of community sport,” Mr Chester said.
“The project will also include the construction of a second netball court to accommodate the expanding club and encourage more women and girls to play netball in our community, promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
“Bruthen is a growing community, with the recreation reserve serving as a central hub for a wide range of activities,” he said.
“This work wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of local volunteers, and it’s fantastic to see the recreation reserve improving each year.”
