A great evening was recently enjoyed by all the Glenaladale community and surrounding area.
The Farmers’ Night Out is always a successful event. It brings people from the community back together, mixing with friends and neighbours.
People did travel a little further this time to catch up with old friends they may have missed due to moving into town or even being affected or isolated during COVID times.
These events are funded for disaster times, which were once again reflected on the recent fires and flooding but most recent was the power outage.
This did seem to be the main topic of the evening – how people coped with no power and the stories shared.
The Glenaladale Recreational Reserve Committee of Management worked hard to create a relaxed atmosphere, provided a free meal, some great raffle prizes, kids enjoying the jumping castle and being entertained by Wacky Wombat who is always up for some fun with the kids.
Music by local musician Mark Lindsay was great for all to sit, relax and reflect on during the evening.
