How’s this for a feast for the senses – a paint and sip class in the middle of a food and wine festival!
Bruthen’s newest event – Eat Drink Explore Bruthen – includes two luxurious Paint and Sip classes with a food and beverage flavour – graze on local treats and sample local beverages while you try your hand at painting.
No painting experience is necessary, just take your enthusiasm and let your creativity flow, as you’ll be guided by artist Tracey Johnson step-by-step to paint your artwork.
Paint and Sip is an express art class with all materials and equipment supplied, and great food and beverages as part of the experience.
Tracey has been offering art workshops of all kinds for more than a decade and is experienced in guiding beginners to create an artwork of their own.
Over two hours you will be introduced to design and colour ideas, subject matter and painting techniques, using acrylic paint on a small canvas.
Aprons are supplied, wear clothes that are not too precious as you may get a little paint on them.
“There is a 10 per cent discount for bookings for two or more – bring a friend or a group to make up a table,” Tracey said.
There will be a Paint and Sip morning tea at the Bruthen hall from 10am to noon on Saturday, January 27.
“Wake up, smell the coffee, and paint,” Tracey said.
“Spend a relaxing morning painting your own canvas, while snacking on a delectable spread of morning tea delights.
“Hot beverages (coffee, tea, herbals) and sweet locavore treats are provided to fuel your creativity.”
The Paint and Sip afternoon grazing session runs from 2pm to 4pm.
“Embark on a sensory journey at our Paint and Sip afternoon, immersing yourself in a world of colours, flavours and creativity,” Tracey said.
“Paint the abundance of the long table, while sipping beverages from local winemakers and brewers, and savouring delectable bites from a gourmet tasting platter.
“A grazing platter is included for your enjoyment, plus, all glassware, ice and bottle openers.”
