Detectives are investigating following reports of a sexual assault in Lakes Entrance on New Year’s Eve.
Victoria Police cordoned off an area of Main Beach which remained in place throughout the days that followed.
Police have been told a teenage girl was sexually assaulted in the sand dunes of Main Beach on December 31 about 10.30pm.
The investigation is ongoing with
detectives and local police attending the scene on Tuesday.
