A nature night walk has been organised for this Saturday night starting at the Nungurner Primary School.
It will be a fun adventure spotlighting native animals and is open to all age groups.
Those interested should meet at the school at 7.15pm and the walk will be in the Nungurner Bushland Reserve. It will take approximately one hour or longer for those wanting more.
Take good walking shoes, a torch which ideally has a headlight or one with a red night lens or colour. Torches can also be supplied.
“We hope to see owls, possums, wallabies, bandicoots and with all the rain plenty of frogs,” junior coordinator with the Bairnsdale and District Field Naturalists Club, Connie Tuck, said.
This is a Keepers project funded by Parks Victoria Youth Volunteering Fund in collaboration with Nungurner Landcare, Junior Field Naturalists Bairnsdale and District Field Naturalists Club, Nungurner Primary School and EcoArt Systems Australia.
Connie can be contacted by email for further information (details available at the Lakes Post office).
