It’s that time of year again, when annual general meetings are are taking place in line with Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV) guidelines and according to Sam Beechey, honorary life member of Paynesville Motor Cruiser Club there is no better time for members of the club they are passionate about to turn up and have input to the direction it will take moving into the 2024/25.
However, only those with current paid memberships will have voting rights.
The AGM will take place on Sunday, October 27, at 10am at the club house.
“As a life member of the club, I see the club and it’s boating members having great potential to assist new and old boating enthusiasts,” Sam said.
“The club has a prime position in Paynesville, the facilities are a great community asset and a tourism drawcard.”
The club’s charter of purpose according to Sam is to encourage and maintain good fellowship between recreational boating people and clubs.
“Let’s support our club,” he said.
