Representatives of three local volunteer fire brigades were pleased to accept generous donations from John Fraser and Neville Chambers from Johnno’s Op Shop recently.

Mount Taylor Fire Brigade captain Geoff Crane, Hillside captain Michelle Raeburn and Sarsfield secretary Brian Millard assured Johnno’s the funds are greatly appreciated and assist the brigades to purchase much needed vital firefighting equipment, which in turn helps them support their volunteers in protecting local communities.

Local brigades are grateful for the support of fellow volunteer organisations, with Geoff Crane observing there are many people in the community who work quietly for the benefit of others.

With the coming fire season fast approaching, local brigades are urging their communities to begin preparing their properties now rather than wait until the weather turns hot.
