Juliette Aukema will perform her one-woman show, An Unashamedly Human Tale, at the Stratford Courthouse on Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26.
Aukema trained in dance and drama at Darlington College in the United Kingdom.
Until illness forced he retirement she taught drama at Nagle College in Bairnsdale for 25 years.
An Unashamedly Human Tale is about her experiences going through two cancers (now six years in remission). It is told with unmitigated humour and features the use of large mannequin puppets, masked characters, live music as well as a realistic portrayal of some tough times.
Assisting in the telling of An Unashamedly Human Tale is Arnaud Lebon, a musician with extraordinary skills and talent.
Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from the Stratford Courthouse Theatre website.
